Register for our June 3rd workshops

Please read before registering!

(UPDATED – 01/06/2017)

1. Read ALL workshop info:

Please read ALL THE INFORMATION relating to each workshop and ensure the criteria is right for you or your child? If you need help with your raspberry Pi, SD card or downloading software please go to the drop-in centre, bay 1, AT LEAST 15 MINUTES before your workshop is due to start.

2. Check times / Register responsibly!

If you book on more than one workshop make sure the times of these workshops don’t clash – you can’t be in 2 places at once! PLEASE DO NOT RANDOMLY REGISTER for a number of workshops – we have limited spaces and you could deprive someone an opportunity to register.

3. Accompanying adults:

There is no need for accompanying adults to register a place in the workshops. You are very welcome to stay close by (chairs and sofas can be provided on request)  Unless you want to actually take part in the workshop, PLEASE DON’T BOOK A PLACE. Just come and watch/support/help :-). Please take note of the “At-Bristol” policy – All children under the age of 13 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

4. Equipment loan:

We do have some laptops to loan on the day. If you would like to borrow a machine please add the participant’s name and email address, along with the time of the loan and workshop name and time to this form. Laptops will be issued on a first come first served basis.

Reserve a laptop now!

Digimakers is a free event, however, some workshops ask for a donation to cover the cost of  components. You can pay at the event or online here

5. Need help?

In Bay 1 there is a drop-in centre for anyone who needs help with programming, electronics, or just some advice on how to tackle a project you’re working on at home or school. Feel free to bring your project with you, we would love to see what you have been up to! Helpers there will also assist you if you need to download software for a workshop. If you want to carry on going through a worksheet after a workshop has finished, you can do so in the drop-in centre, the helpers there will be happy to assist you.

6. Talk to experts:

In our show-and-tell section you will find some awesome projects for you to learn about.

7. Workshop sold out?

If the workshop you would like to attend has ‘No more spots left!’ it may be worth coming along anyway, people often drop-out at the last minute and spaces do become available. Also see POINT 10 below!

If you have any further questions about the event workshops please contact: caroline.higgins@bristol.ac.uk

8. Will lunch be provided on the day?

As a FREE event we do not provide lunch for participants. However, there is a cafe on the ground floor of the building and a number of food establishments near by. A Packed lunch for your child is optional?

9. What if I make a mistake with my WORKSHOP REGISTRATION or I Can’t make it?

It’s now VERY EASY to change or edit your workshop registration details. Follow these steps:
  1. Locate the workshop below you have ALREADY REGISTERED for.
  2. Click on the “EDIT MY REGISTRATION” button and follow the instructions…. Thats it!
